Default Diabetes is a <fill in the blank w/ your opinion>!

Way of Life & Royal PITA

I've tended to refer to it like this because I can't remember life w/o it. I kinda wonder if I'd be lost if I was magically cured .. I bet I'd be confused as all get out

Diabetes is a inconvenient Way of Life!

I have had this affliction for several years and I have always tried to look at it as an inconvenience rather than a disease. It is something that I, like many of you, will have to live with for the rest of my life. Everytime I pack my medical supplies for a trip, I know what an inconvenience diabetes is. I will not let this "inconvenience" get me down!

[Half Full]
Diabetes gives us a reason to connect with others and help each other.

[Half Empty]
Diabetes is a huge burden on my wallet.

Diabetes is a PITA, but at same time it has a silver lining...it is making me learn to treat my body right...not a totally bad deal. For sure it is time-consuming...but am still in learning curve bigtime!

You're exactly correct!! Many things us diabetics do or watch are things that everyone out there should. It's just we see the effects instantly. Others may not realize the effects until many years later.

Thanks iaedyene! From that perspective, at least we got the warning alarm! A chance to correct ourselves! 

I have to completely agree on that. It took me being diagnose to get the will to exercise every day and loose weight. Still, it also is a pain in the ass
