Default big meters

When you check your big, do you just take one sample then log it or several then log lowest/ highest? I have found that bg reading can swing by as much as 100 puts!

If you are trying to establish a base line, log out of bed, before and 1 hour after each meal and before bed. During the night can help too. Log everytime you check your blood glucose. The GB software will determine the averages, it's the purple line in the graph.

If you are getting a swing of 100 points, you need a new accurate meter. Try Contour NEXT, accuchek, or I think it's called True something. They all meet the new Fed guidelines of 15% plus or minus accuracy.
