Default low fat vegan diets

Everything I read points at these diets as the path to something like a cure. Do they work?

I have just started to try to eat only fresh vegetables, some fruits, few nuts ( walnuts, almonds) meats (beef, chicken, fish) and no process food or sweeten drink just water and coffee. It seems to be working. My blood sugar level is close to normal. Planning to reduce medication. It's below 130 and going down still.

They would not work for me. Carbs over about 20 in a 3 hour period elevate my blood sugar into the diabetic range (over 140). To eat enough low fat vegan food to survive, I'd have to eat way more carbs than 20 in a 3 hour period.

I'm currently eating low carb (generally under 40 net in a day), moderate protein (60 grams), with the remainder of my calories coming from fat (which makes it a relatively high fat diet). My average blood glucose since 3 days after diagnosis in early October is about 111 (within the normal range).

Watch the video Simply Raw by Dr Gabriel cousens. I went on a raw food diet and have been cured of my diabetes and don't take medication. It works!! Make sure you test your sugars a lot while doing the diet. Get his book 'there is a cure for Diabetes'

I have become a vegan several years . Previously I took 2 Metformin 500mg tabs a day. Going vegan (no animal products) . Now my A1c is in 5.6 to 5.8 range. Going vegan really works. Medication only maintains , does not improve condition.
