Default reactive hypoglycemia

Hi,
I was just recently diagnosed with having reactive hypoglycemia. I had Bariatric surgery January 2013. I've never had diabetes. I had several hypoglycemic episodes that landed me in the ER. One time it went down to 40 and I nearly passed out completely. This is all new to me, I was told to stay away from carbs. I'm eating healthy carbs only. Can anyone please guide me a bit. I'm very confused. Should I see my endocrinologist?

Welcome to the Forum!

If you have hypoglycemia, you are going to have to eat something. You may need to eat several small meals trough out the day. I would see the Endocrinologist for guidance.
