Hello. I'm Becky, a new member and was asked to introduce myself. My blood sugar is out of control lately due to high stress in my life and taking care of an ill parent instead of myself. After yesterdays Dr visit and learning my A1C was 10.7 it got my attention.

Welcome to the Forum!

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better.

Stress is definitely a problem to most people with diabetes. It will drive your blood sugar numbers up and out of control. Stress management is key to getting those numbers down.

Good luck with your control and management.
