the unit given for food entry is in mg. What is the measurement meant to be? Mg of sugar for the intake?

Default Where? In the GB app

When I checked the unit was in grams.
You sure it wasn't a med log.

Smile Grams

I believe it's grams of the particular food your entering.
Look at the nutrition label, the serving size and the carbohydrate total.
I'm not sure if you enter the serving size or the total carbs.

Hope this helps
You could try a search other forums.

Default GB help forum

I got this from the GB help forum created by Dano.

The food entries are a bit different from the blood glucose entries. Under Add Logs; Food; Add Food; Add Log; Create a food called Carbs. (grams), then pick that food each time you input your food. This method is very simple and lets you keep up with your food by logging carbs. However, to effectively use this method, you will need to learn to carb count. Please reference Carb Counting 101.

Try something simple first: Under Food; Add Food; Press + in the top right hand corner; Type in a name {I use Carbs. (grams)} and save the food. Then under Pick Food(s) you should be able to pick the food (when done successfully you will see a check mark on the right hand side), then press Add Log at the top left, this takes you back to Add Log menu where you should be able to input the grams.

Don't understand add name "carbs" then enter #of carbs where do you put the actual name of the food? This food log seems to be senseless. If you just enter numbers of carbs what good is that

You should be able to enter the name of food say "egg" then enter the carbs "0.6" then when you pick food again the should add the carbs for you.
