Default Needing tips

m I was diagnosed a month ago. I take Metfromin (sp)I have been doing well. My BS is dropping. BUT ok yesterday 121 today it was 150. I didn't do anything different. It seems to go below 140 for a few days then back up to 150 or high 140's. I am not ignoring anything, I eat like I am supposed to. I follow all the rules I know. I don't get why it goes up. I'm not being dramatic I just am wondering why it fluctuates so much. It goes up even one point t and I try to figure out what I am doing wrong. Obviously I am because it does not stay in the same zone for more than a few days. Any tips on how to eat better or do this rite? Obviously I am not doing it all rite. It's been a month I know I should know how to keep it regular by now. It is coming down and im not in the 500 anymore. I didn't think 121 was good enough. How do I fix it. Oh and what do yall do for back or hip pain? I was told by my doc it is normal because of the high BS. And daily headaches. I'm still learning. Im not one to complain or lay my private issues for all to see, my business is my business. I just need a few tips it can get discouraging.

Welcome to the Forum!

It takes a while to get regulated and to become accustomed to the more normal blood glucose range. Hang in there, you are on the right track.

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.
