Default Not trying to be dramatic or complain

Im I was diagnosed a month ago. I take Metfromin (sp)I have been doing well. My BS is dropping. BUT ok yesterday 121 today it was 150. I didn't do anything different. It seems to go below 140 for a few days then back up to 150 or high 140's. I am not ignoring anything, I eat like I am supposed to. I follow all the rules I know. I don't get why it goes up. I'm not being dramatic I just am wondering why it fluctuates so much. It goes up even one point t and I try to figure out what I am doing wrong. Obviously I am because it does not stay in the same zone for more than a few days. Any tips on how to eat better or do this rite? Obviously I am not doing it all rite. It's been a month I know I should know how to keep it regular by now. It is coming down and im not in the 500 anymore. I didn't think 121 was good enough. How do I fix it. Oh and what do yall do for back or hip pain? I was told by my doc it is normal because of the high BS. And daily headaches. I'm still learning. Im not one to complain or lay my private issues for all to see, my business is my business. I just need a few tips it can get discouraging.

The fluctuation between the 140's and the 150's could just be the meter. They don't read exactly the same each time, and by whoever regulates them, that's okay. They are allowed to fluctuate, I think, 20 points up or down from the actual reading. Do some more research on meter fluctuations and in the meantime, don't stress about it too much.

I am also new to type 2, less than a month. I am doing low carb and my numbers stay pretty good all day but go up when I sleep. My doctor said high sugars at night are due to my fatty liver and that it takes time for your body to stop being insulin resistant.... Told to just keep staying low carb and it will keep improving . My day numbers go between 108-140 and overnight sometimes as high as 158. One night I was 118 before bed and 158 in the morning! I didn't understand how that was possible. Good luck!

Are you getting any regular exercise? I have noticed my numbers fluctuate 20 or more points when I exercise. Could explain why your numbers are going up and down.😊

Eat foods low on glycemic index. Eat balanced diet so bs stats level. Eat smaller more frequent meals or snacks. I usually eat something every 4 hours. Exercise ( usually drop bs) and steroids (raise bs) also have an effect. Take bs readings at different times of day to look at patterns.

If you want to control it without medicines changing lifestyle, diet plan and exercise are the key elements. It is very hard to control if one of these elements is missing.
There are certain lifestyle practices you can adopt to control diabetes.

ELIMINATE sugars from your diet -- sodas, fruit juices, energy drinks, sports drinks, candies, cakes, cookies, pies, ice cream . . . .

REDUCE starches -- eat less breads , crackers, pastas, rice, corn, potatoes.

INCREASE fibers -- green vegetables, whole grain breads, Cheerios

GET MORE exercise -- Walk, run, ride a bike, play volleyball or basketball or soccer

MAINTAIN a normal-to-thin height-to-weight ratio.
These were some of the home remedies to cure diabetes or control it, just follow these and you'll see amazing results.
Cinnamon will lower blood sugar
Healthy diet with lots of fruits vegetables and proteins
exercise to burn extra sugar

Just in case, have the doctor do an A1C test once every year, when you get your yearly physical. This test is an accurate "tracker" of blood sugars, and can diagnose or predict diabetes before it happens. If the A1C reading is HIGH you need to begin treatment before damage is done.
