High Blood glucose levels will make you lose weight, and it can be a huge amount of weight you lose.

However the high glucose levels will also cause other very serious problems with your organs and other parts of your body.

Then when you are taking more insulin you find that the weight piles back on, this is the dilemma.

I would suggest getting your BG under control first. Once it is on an even keel then find a way to lose weight. Your BG is far more important than your weight. Talk to your dietician to find out ways to lose weight that will not have an adverse effect on your diabetes.
