importing data from website
I have been uploading from my iPhone, now I have an iPad as well. Would love a way to bring all my data back from the website to the iPad. As it stands, each time it becomes a new empty start. Love the program.

Welcome to the Forum! Unfortunately, GB uses the iPhone UDID to marry the App to the iPhone. This is why you can't share the information on more than one device or unit. Please look through the "Ironic" thread and make your wishes known for something besides the Web Sites Flash Graphics for the the iPad / iPhone. Unless you have the Docs To Go App on your iPad I don't see much way to get what you want, other than emailing yourself the text document or printing the information to a pdf converter, such as CutePDF, on a Windows based computer and emailing that document to yourself. I suppose that you could create the document on another computer and upload that file to "box.net" and use the Box App to view from your iPad. I use this on my iPhone for several forms of data and it works very well.

Hi
Dunno if this is the same with the iPad, but when I changed my iPhone, I managed to merge the old GB database with the one on my new phone. It all was just a little fiddling with the .sqlite files. Not much trouble and all my data is imported now. Doing it regularly would not be very convenient though. |

So, does this mean I can't send my logs to my doctor from the website when I'm on my Mac Laptop (safari), but I CAN do it from my iPhone? I've recently updated many logs from my laptop because its so much easier than on my phone. I assume, if I go to my phone (which I left at work, or I'd try it before asking) I'll be able to send updated logs to my doctor via the web, from my phone? Oh dear - I'm getting confused. First I'll have to synch what's on line to my phone, right?
Hmmm. I can't find the "e-mail my doc" option on the website from my lap-top. I'm getting the impression that's not an option, right? |

More info on where I'm coming from in this pursuit:
I've been trying to download the CSV of my logs so I can send them to my Educator. I see it in format on a safari web-page, but when I can't drag it directly, and when I save it as a text-file then drag it into Numbers, it doesn't separate. I'm trying it in Open Office spreadsheet now... |

A-HA!
I didn't realize I just had to go to "SAFARI - FILE" then "SAVE" then I could save it as a "CSV" file on my desk-top and drag it into Numbers, or Open-Office, or whatever - My lack of experience. Hopefully this will help other less experienced csv users, like myself |
