Help! Having trouble with the GB Food log facility
Hi all. I hope someone out there can help me. GB is just great, but till now I've only been using it to record BG.
I've been told that I now have to also monitor my food intake 'cos my insulin/meds aren't quite doing it for me any more. I thought: that's no prob; GB will handle it. Uh, uh: not so fast, oh faithful one! If I go to enter a food item in the logs and click "Add food", it hasn't got any listed. When I click the blue "+" button to add one, it will let me enter the "Name", but the "Units Selection" only has the word "grams" listed, and it's already ticked with no other options. I can't find where to add/delete/edit any measurement units. I tried looking in "Settings" but no luck. Is there supposed to be a way of specifying different measurement units, or is grams the only one? How does one specify the actual number of grams for each food and the number of serves eg for a standard slice of bread it's 15 grams, so a sandwich is 30 without the filling. Where does the 15/30 go, or is PSBA ("poor-sick-brave-adrian") just too dumb and doesn't understand how it's supposed to work? I'd hate to think that I wasted my money buying that whizz-bang digital kitchen scales thing last week. Can anyone help me please? Cheers PSBA |

Food Log Issue
PSBA, go back to log and you can enter the grams of carb the food contains there, since carbs is what you should be concerned about you only need grams.
My concern is that I can only have about one screen of foods on my iPod Touch because it won't scroll. I can add foods but since I like a varied diet that changes with what's in season I quickly run out of what my iPod Touch can handle. I suspect it is a bug or that fact that my touch only has 8 GB. GB is set up for food measurements in grams, that is true. I find this works very well for me, since carbs in grams is all that I am interested in. I use one of the free weight loss Apps to help with the carb calculations and to track my food intake. This method takes a little more time, but it is well worth it for me.
