Out of Control and the holidays suck
Just got insurance and trying to get back on track in managing my type 2 diabetes. My A1C last week was 12.1. Yeah, I know how bad that is. Dr put me on a low fat diet as well, since my cholesterol was 260 and my triglycerides were over 700. Met forming and Amaryl are my meds.
I hope I can get this back under control with these meds. He's already mentioned insulin. |

Welcome to the Forum!
Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Work diligently to get your readings below 140 mg/dl and yes there is always insulin. Good luck with your control and management.
