Default new to GB and the whole diabetes thing

Hello, I have been told by my doc I have type 2 diabetes about maybe 3 months ago. I am not yet taking any medication but I do try and check my BG levels daily.

Since forever I've been mostly eating fried foods and fast food. On average my levels are from 150 to 220 when I don't watch what I eat and maybe 120 to 180 when I actually make an effort to watch my carbs. I can even get it to 80 to 12o when I jog (when. I. Jog...)

I'm a guy, age 30, about 5'2" and about 115-120lbs so I was in shock when I was told I was diabetic because I thought it had to do with weight. Not to mention my cholesterol and triglycerides are over 400? Or 200 I don't remember but they were pretty high 3 months ago.

so that's me hoping to make better of myself. Really digging this new app, I like the features.

Where can I find instruction on how to read the graph? My graph reading skills are terrible :/

So like.. Each day I enter a glucose level in my logs I have 3 dots. A high, a low, and an average but I don't know which of the three dots am I?

I look forward to being more a part of the community.

Welcome to the Forum!

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, as they may help you a lot. A healthy diet and exercise routine helps a lot. Good luck with your control and management.

All of the dots are your data.
The red line is the highest reading per day.
The magenta line is the calculated average of daily input data.
The blue line is your lowest reading per day.
