Hello can any one help me with this's advice.didn't plan for my pregnant and now am 6weeks and I was told today at the hospital my hdA1c is 10.1 and am pregnant.the doctor explain to me is very high.and doing the stage the baby is on risk and me took .she's advising me to terminate it cos is risk .but I don't want to cos am trying to control my glucose pls can anyone help with this advice plssssss.asap plssss.what shd I do

I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I can't really help you with your decision other than offer you some threads that may help you. Please read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.
I have cross posted your question here in the Gestational Section. Maybe some of the ladies there will be able to help.

I had four pregancies all had gestational and all were health. The last three were early. And the very last I tried to miss carry. But had great at risk dr's who were very educated in this area. I would suggest a second opinion with a high risk dr! Good luck.
