23 years and counting
Hi All I am a 31 year old terrible diabetic. It's been 23 years since I was diagnosed. It's been a very long and tough road filled with lots of ups and downs. I have always had a really tough time controlling this beast but I have decided that it is time to really get serious about this. I guess I'm looking for a place to share my experiences and learn from others. Thanks for letting me share

Welcome to the Forum!
I am glad that you have decided to take the beast by the horns. Good luck with your control and management.

You are welcome!
Learn to count carbs and bolus for your meals, if you are not doing this already. This will help you a lot, in your journey, along with testing often.

Testing often is my biggest problem 😞 I find that it starts other a little painful after some time 6 times a day 7 days a week my poor little fingers. If anyone has any tips for finger pricks that would be cool. Carb counting has been a part of my life since I was 8 so that's no problem

I try to test on the inside of the finger(s), it hurts less and I can use my fingertips for other things without them being sore.
