Type 1 and Pregnant
Hi everyone. I'm looking for some positive success stories. I'm 15 weeks pregnant and terrified something will go wrong. I'm in pretty good control on an insulin pump and seeing my endo every 2 weeks. I'm hoping to hear of other type 1 diabetics having healthy children. My husband and I lost our first baby at 6 days old 9 years ago (not diabetic related). It took us 9 years to try again. I also worry about Preclampsia. Any words of advice or positive stories are greatly appreciated.

Keep positive:-) I'm a type 1 brittle diabetic and I just had 5 months ago a gorgeous healthy baby boy! My blood sugars were excellent while pregnant. I did develop preeclampsia but that doesn't mean you will too. When my baby was born he had to spend a little while in the NICI to even out his blood sugar but since then he's had ZERO blood sugar problems! Just do your part eating right, taking your prenatals, etc and leave the rest up to God:-) hope this helps! If you have anymore questions feel free to ask!
