Welcome to the Forum!
Type 1.5 diabetes is sometimes called Slow Onset Type 1 or Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults (LADA). Compared to Type 1, it occurs at an older age where the immune system conducts a slower attack on the beta cells, rather than the more aggressive attack encountered in children or teens, which was previously referred to as Juvenile Diabetes (currently known as Type 1). Most-generally, T1.5 is treated with insulin the same as T1. Here is a link for T1.5. Here is a link for the different Types of Diabetes. I hope that the information is helpful. Good luck with your control and management.
