Default Another novice

Was diagnosed last week. Shocked, upset, guilty I have let myself and my family down, have blood count if 13 said the doc. Still waiting for various appointments to explain everything and let me know if everything is ok or not . I guess I must be type 2. Had cloudy eyes 8 months ago and now I have sore heals and limp around a bit... Hopefully I will start to get better soon. I put myself on a low carb diet in the meantime as no one has told me anything.
Thanks for listening... Harry

Welcome to the Forum!

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. The time to take control is now. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.
