My new significant other
Hello everyone. My name is Bobby and today is my 3 week anniversary of being diagnosed with diabetes. It's been a roller coaster ride trying to get my insulin adjusted. Thank God for Glucose Buddy. It has made my life so much easier. I have my iPhone with me all the time so I can enter my BG, insulin, BP, etc. and not worry about it. It comes in really handy for doctor visits. I'll print out a report and take it with me.
So far I'm not having a problem with adjusting my diet too much. I used to teach in a cooking school and have done a lot of catering so I'm lucky in that respect. I'm able to make healthy adjustments and not feel like I'm being deprived. The one thing I miss SO much is crackers. I'm one of those that likes different textures and I love that "crunch" in my soup. I would fill a bowl half full of soup and the other half with crackers. I'm looking forward to getting to know others on here. Take care.. |

Welcome to the Forum!
I, like you, like crackers too. I generally eat a 10-12 crackers with my soup and just bolus for the meal. Good luck with your control and management.
