Smile My new significant other

Hello everyone. My name is Bobby and today is my 3 week anniversary of being diagnosed with diabetes. It's been a roller coaster ride trying to get my insulin adjusted. Thank God for Glucose Buddy. It has made my life so much easier. I have my iPhone with me all the time so I can enter my BG, insulin, BP, etc. and not worry about it. It comes in really handy for doctor visits. I'll print out a report and take it with me.
So far I'm not having a problem with adjusting my diet too much. I used to teach in a cooking school and have done a lot of catering so I'm lucky in that respect. I'm able to make healthy adjustments and not feel like I'm being deprived. The one thing I miss SO much is crackers. I'm one of those that likes different textures and I love that "crunch" in my soup. I would fill a bowl half full of soup and the other half with crackers.
I'm looking forward to getting to know others on here. Take care..

Welcome to the Forum!

I, like you, like crackers too. I generally eat a 10-12 crackers with my soup and just bolus for the meal. Good luck with your control and management.
