Default hypoglycemia or diabetic?

I am having an awful time, and have always struggled with low blood sugar but I've been getting incredibly high too lately. I have a dr apt I just need some reassurance I guess. For example
Today before lunch(fast) 110
2hrs after 290
1 hr later 39
2hrs after dinner 170
And before bed (about 3hrs later) 55

The bouts of extremely low are happening 2-3 times a day but I have never been high like that before. And I retested to be sure it wasn't a bad reading.

We need lots more information:

How long have you had diabetes?
What type?
What does a typical meal consist of?
Are you counting carbs?
Do you bolus for the carb intake?
Insulin delivery system: MDI (Multiple Daily Injections) or Pump?
Type of insulin that you take?
Do you have an exercise routine?

I am not diagnosed. I have always been told I was hypoglycemic. The highs are a new onset, hence the dr apt.
I am not on any regulation medicine or insulin
The hypoglycemia has always been controlled by diet.
I am not overweight on the bmi scale
I have food tolerance issues so my meals generally consist of a protein, veggies and brown rice or quinoa etc. I cannot eat fried, fast food, many carbs. However am not a celiac.
I'm just incredibly frustrated and don't even know what to tell the dr when I see him, other than to hand him the numbers that are so crazy out of sync no one would believe them. 'Hi I have no idea, fix it please!'
It's affecting my vision and coordination, sorry for the rant. AH!

First of all I am no doctor so please don't take this as medical advice. This is just what I see from your example and the information that you have provided.

"Today before lunch(fast) 110", if this is fasting it is a little high.
"2hrs after 290", this would suggest that you may have diabetes, but it may also be dependent on what you ate for lunch.
"1 hr later 39", if this is three (3) hours after lunch it is either a bogus reading, you over exercised, or your body is releasing insulin at the wrong time.

Hopefully your doctors appointment is with an Endocrinologist. Good luck, I hope you and your doctor can get this figured out.

I appreciate the advice. Unfortunately it's no bogus reading. It gets that low and lower several times a day. I've learned to deal with the hypoglycemia. The thing that worries me is that I have lots of digestive issues so my diet doesn't consist of many carbohydrates period. There is seemingly no reason for the spikes in bg. I am not a celiac but I am wheat sensitive. The only grains I can keep in is brown rice, so it's a lot of rice veggies and a protein for me. Doctors tomorrow, fingers crossed. I'll deal with whatever crosses my path, just need to know what!

It could be the meds your taking. Also, if you are not eating until lunch your blood sugar will drop. Glimeperide will cause your blood sugar to go too low.
