Hello y'all!
I am what you would call a recurring diabetic, I guess. I had gestational diabetes 16 years ago and remained diabetic after I gave birth to my daughter. After losing almost 100 lbs about six months later on a liquid diet through my endo's office, I was off meds .... Until recently.
Three weeks ago today I went to my doctor's office for chronic ear infections only to find out that my blood pressure was sky high and my blood sugar was 324. What a wake-up call! I am now on two types of blood pressure meds and metformin and insulin for my diabetes. I had gained back 40 of the almost 100 pounds that I had lost, but have drastically changed my eating habits and have lost almost 15 pounds. I am still having trouble leveling out my blood sugar levels, but it's getting better. This app has helped me track everything so much and I am so thankful that I found it! |
