Welcome to the Forum!

Stress will definitely drive your blood glucose level up. Many people will tell you that, after fighting with high blood glucose levels for many years, starting insulin was the best thing that they could have done. Since you are already watching your food intake, I urge you to learn to count the carbs, if you are not already doing so. Setting up an appointment with an Endocrinologist and having him calculate your Insulin Sensitivity Factor (ISF) and your Insulin to Carb Ratio (ICR) would be very beneficial, as well. This will allow you to calculate your bolus insulin injection, in order to facilitate your control and management. Good luck, I wish you the best.

Thumbs up

Thank you for you advice
I never liked to talk about diabetics with no one, not even my husband, who I think is is just afraid that he might get it too, I did checked his blood one time and he had it at 170īs but after that he refuses to talk about it, or to have a doctorīs appointment for that. (after that, I checked his blood and some times he is normal) but he just looks a me confuse...
I just take life has it comes.

It felt good to post a few words here without feeling weird, I donīt talk about any of this to no one, except a few family members that know about this.

I will take you advice and talk to my Doctor so she can recommend who to go, she has always tried to send me to counseling... I had no idea of how a counsel will help me, so I tell here that I donīt need somebody to tell me what I already know . Perhaps she knows a Endocrinologist, I will ask her about it.

thanks

Take a look at the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, if you have not already done so. Here you will fine the carb counting information.
