Good Afternoon, My name is Brian, I am 32 years old and have had been diagnosed with diabetes type 2 insulin dependent for approximately 10 years. I am 6'8" and weigh 406 pounds. I am looking for support and help with maintaining good glucose levels and help with eating right and losing wieght. I know I can do it if I am able to find a diet that will fit me. Also an exercise plan that will fit my needs. My sugars are always high even when I am drinking water and taking my meds with eating no carbs at all. If you have any help on how I can maintain a healthy diet and exercise plan that will help tremendously. Thank you all and God bless you all as we try to live a healthier lifestyle.

Brian;

Welcome to the Forum!

Some of the best advice that I can give you, is to tell you that with successful management of diabetes, knowledge is key. Please take some time and read the first three threads in the type 2 section. Pay particular attention to the Carb Counting 101 thread and learn to count carbs. Good luck with your weight loss, control and management.
