Have I mentioned how cool it is to play kickball on the National Mall? Sure it probably sounds cheesy since technically Herndon isn't that far away from Washington DC, but living outside the Beltway means you probably need a good reason to venture in to the "big city". Regardless of the geography, on a day that was supposed to be filled with rain, in a spot that is filled with people dressed up like Avatars from Pandora...for Earth Day, when your kickball team is up 25-5, it's nice to look one way and see the Washington Monument and the Capitol Building in the other direction. It's really, really cool. Of course it helps that we were winning 25-5.
