Default nausea

I have had poor control of my type 2 diabetes. About two months ago I got serious about bringing down my a1c. Approximately six weeks ago, with numbers well in the normal range, I began to experience nausea several days a week. This was not related to a time of day or eating. It has become progressively worse. I have an appointment with my doctor later in the week, but am wondering if others have experienced this. Or just experienced an overall worse feeling once sugars are under control. I guess I would expect some of this stuff immediately after getting better control but not two months in. (and no, I'm not pregnant )

Are you currently on Metformin? It has been known to cause nausea.
