Default radical change in numbers

This AM, the number I got the first time I took it was 186, higher than it's ever been. So I took it again right away and it was 122. Is this normal? I normally only take it once at a time.

Yes, it happens. Just make sure that you wash your hands with soap & water before testing and read through these threads.

Spikes are quite normal and any foreign substance can alter the results. Along with washing my hands before I test, I also wipe the area with alcohol and the tests stay consistent. Also make sure you follows the home tester directions carefully as an error, no matter how small, can also change the results.
