Default new life...

I was just diagnosed about half a year ago and I'm 19 and have already developed bad eating habits. I am trying to eat healthier but it's very difficult I didn't realize how hard it was to change my eating habits until someone told me (my doctor) that I had to to live a long normal life. Scary thought I know you all understand, any advice on adjusting?

Welcome to the Forum!

Self education is one of the keys in beating the diabetes demon. Read the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, as they will help you, as well. Learn to count carbs, if you don't do this already, and test often. Always remember that we are all in this together. Good luck with your control and management. I wish you all the best.

I was diagnosed two years ago and my eating habits are still really bad I take more insulin to adjust to the higher carb diet I have now. I am finally realizing that I need to get what I eat healthy. I plan on seeing an working with a nutritionist this month.

I was diagnosed a week ago. I was overweight for most of my life and once I decided to change it was tough at first but it gets easier. Just understand that by eating healthier you're going to feel better.
