Welcome to the Forum!

Education is one of the keys in successfully managing your diabetes. Read the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance. Good luck with your control, management and diet.

I don't think that the medic alert bracelet or necklace are required, although it couldn't hurt. I use the free iTunes "ICE App", located in the top right corner of my iPhone's main menu. Some people just use the contacts, on their phone, tagged with "ICE" (In Case of Emergency), as all first responders are trained to look for this.

I don't know if is required or not. Before I only wear it when I was flying somewhere, but recently I am every day. It doesn't hurt at all, I feel more comfortable...

Dano's advice to read the first 3 threads under Type 2 is the heart and soul of GB, it's about the critical need for anyone discovering or being told they are diabetic or pre diabetic to become informed. http://survey.medallia.com/applepos2...dvs2w866advice can be detected, a lot of which comes from the ADA and the healthcare profession which still follows ADA's advice.

As we become informed, we become further educated and can proactively protect our health.
