Default newbie

My name is Renae. I'm 51 years old. I was diagnosed yesterday with Type 2 diabetes. I've known this was coming for awhile. My A1c number just kept climbing. I'm going tomorrow for diabetes education at my insurance provider and will go next week to my doc's office for a meter and strips and instruction.

Renae;

Welcome to the Forum!

Education is one of the keys to successfully managing diabetes. Read the first three threads in the Type 2 section, when you get a chance. Good luck with your control and management.
