Diagnosed with Type 2 in Dec 2011. I am to check my blood sugar twice daily, upon awakening and any other time in the day that us 2 hours after a meal. I see a NP who has me changing to a high protein diet. I also am to avoid fats due to cholesterol issues. Trying to adjust to not eating foods with sugar. Don't like side effects of aspartame do rarely use it. Not doing so well staying on the diet and haven't started exercising. Motivation is hard to find. Glad to find this app.

Welcome to the Forum!

Education is the key to dealing with diabetes. Be sure to read the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, if you have not already done so. Good luck with your control, management and diet.
