Default Bob in SOCAL putting up a fight!

My Doc (the Best) prescribed Metformin at my recent annual physical. Starving BS going up every year - now @ 180. I am making a total effort to manage this without meds! New diet, increased exercise, lost some weight (only about 15 lbs above my target weight). Reading everything about Type 2. PROBLEM: my BS rises during sleep! Ideas?

Welcome to the Forum!

The blood sugar rising during sleep is most likely attributed to a condition know as "dawn phenomenon".

Congratulations on the weight loss! You are on the right track. Read through the first three (3) threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance. Good luck with your control and management.
