Red face Newbie

Hi there! I am new to this forum. I first developed elevated blood glucose 8 years ago after gaining a lot of weight. After being started on glucophage and a weight loss program, I did much better. I even had to stop the glucophage after losing the first 15 pounds. Over the next year, I lost a total of 60 pounds. I was able to keep the weight off for several years. I gradually began gaining about 2 years ago and now have put 40 of the 60 pounds back on. I have randomly kept track of my blood glucose over the years and until the past 2 weeks, I have been able to keep my glucose in the normal range. I am hoping by using this site, I will be able to bring my glucose back into range by controlling my diet and increasing exercise.

Controlling the diet and increasing the exercise is a great start. Good luck with your control & management and the weight loss.
