Now ir's April my a1c is 6.5 & I am down to 193#'s.
But... now I may have kidney probs. I have been passing stones and have blood in urine

Hi Randy! Welcome to the Forum!

Usually when you are on this type med, the doctor will have lab work done every three months. This is to determine if the meds are causing any adverse effect to your system. Here is the Metformine Link. I didn't see anything about the problems that you described, but it doesn't mean it can't happen. Good luck and I hope the problem goes away soon.

One question: Do you drink a lot of carbinated soft drinks?
