Welcome to the Forum!
Read and learn all you can about your condition, it's not as scary as you think. Good luck with your control and management.

Newly Diagnosed
I was diagnosed in Feb and at first I thought I had to be on a special diet and that I should never eat anything nice ever again but there are loads of sites you can go to that are really helpful - diabetes UK being very good and they also have recipes..it is not true that you cant have sugar, you can and as long as your BG are fine two hours after then it is good
Just read as much as you can about it, we will be fine as long as we stick together |

Hi djones!... It can be very scary. What helped me was learning all that I could. Take as many training classes you can. Classes on diabetes, cooking, treatments, etc. The more you know.... LOL.
