Default import log entries into GB?

Any plans to accommodate the transfer of readings on glucometer directly into GB? I realize this is somewhat device-specific, but perhaps you can develop a "plug and play" interface? I use an AccuChek Aviva, which can communicate with my iPhone 4.0.

Amazingly, most of the device manufacturers offer software / cables to/from PCs, none to Macs or iPhones. There are also a couple of third party apps but again, Windows PC only.

One other thing. It would be terrific if the interface would accommodate transfer thru the infrared port. The Aviva I believe only connects through infrared as does the iPhone.

I've been using a ContourUSB with both a MAC and PC. But my insurance no longer covers the strips so I'm getting an Aviva.

How do you get it to talk to you iPhone?

Currently there are no blood glucose monitoring devices that "talk" to the iPhone, utilizing the GB App.

If you are looking for a blood glucose monitoring device, that utilizes the iPhone, then you may be interested in the ibgStar.

If I remember correctly, the iPhone blue-tooth is controlled by Apple. I realize that you can par the device to your car and answer calls or even play music. However, I can't think of a single app where you can currently upload data, into the iPhone, via blue-tooth. There maybe some out there for iPhone's that are running in the "jailbreak" mode, but I am not up on these.

The iPhone doesn't have infrared. Only bluetooth & wifi.
Likely best workaround would be to export from the meter to excel, but that's no use until GB has a log import function
