I just ate at IHOP and there are many items that are healthy but not in the database for the Glucose Buddy App. When or how do these get updated?

The Glucose Buddy App does not have a food database. You should try one of the free food database app's. It sounds like you may need the free "Restaurants" App it has the IHOP information.
