Default Numbers?!

Does anyone know how the numbers should be? The doctor wants me to test before breakfast and before dinner and mostly I have between 85-100. I don't think that is a real GD!

My Dr. wants me at the following levels:

Fasting (before breakfast)=less than 95

After each meal=less than 130

Each doctor is probably a little different, though...

Did you fail the 3 hour glucose tolerance test or did your Dr. just want you to start checking your levels for some reason?

If you can meet these, you are doing GREAT:

Fasting BG 70-99 mg/dl
BG 2 Hours After High Carbs < 140 mg/dl

Reference

However, most of us will have to settle for this: See Healthy Blood Sugar Targets

I just found out they are considering me a GD-I say considering because my fasting glucose was 96 (MD wants it below 92) but my one and two hour levels were fine. However, the educator on the phone today said to target a BG less than 90!! I am seriously doubtful that can happen! Has anyone else's MD said this low of a target?

Those are like amazing numbers ! It really depends on how high your very first glucose test was because then the dr will kinda give you a average number(s) you should range .(: but anything under 130 is normal
