Default What is normal BG level

I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes back in January. My blood glucose was 323. Now I'm averaging 102 over the last two weeks. I usually just check in the mornings when I wake up. I'm on 500 mg of Janumet twice a day. I was feeling a little shaky today so I checked my bg right before lunch. It was 81 which from everything I've read is "normal" but I was feeling shaky. What should I be looking for as a normal bg level as a Type II diabetic?

Thanks,
John

Default Thanks

Great information. Looks like I have just a little ways to go. Really need to exercise more.

The jitters should go away when you reach and hold the normal blood sugar level for awhile. Good luck.
