Default Substituting junk foods with almonds & cashew nuts

Hi! I am really in to chips, but since being diagnosed with diabetes i turnd to alomds & cashew instead. I would like to know if this is ok? Also how much portion is advisable per day?

Yes, it is a good choice. Almonds (1 oz) ~6 carbs and cashews (1 oz) ~9 carbs compared to chips (1 oz) ~15 carbs. Fruits, in moderation, and nuts are usually a good substitute. Just be forewarned that you can eat too much of anything. As for portion control, always read the label and measure out whatever you are eating. This makes calculating the carb intake so much easier.
