Default blood glucose level is very high after food

My blood glucose level after food is 10.2. Even after 2 hrs. Any help to control? I don't exercise, today I started to walk seem to have got some effect.

Welcome to the Forum!

Walking will help. Carb counting works as well. Read the first three threads in the Type 2 Section when you get a chance.

Check out Dr Bernstein's Diabetes Solution. He's was a T1 engineer that became a doctor to solve his own problems with diabetes and has recently released and updated version of this book. He's not conventional and goes against the ADA recommendations. But his regime worked for him and he's a T1 and like 80 years old and it has worked for me. And even though I now eat a lot of fat and protein my cholesterol is better than when I was following my doc low fat diet and on his statins, which I no longer take.

He does a free teleseminar every last wed of every month to answer questions. As well as he usually has a special topic. Next Wed's topic are Statins.
Here is the link: http://instantteleseminar.com/?eventid=27170670

And to his site: http://www.diabetes-book.com/index.shtml
