Default super low lows

High folks. I have cystic fibrosis related diabetes and use low doses of lantus daily and usually 1 unit novolog per 30 grams carbs.

However twice last month I woke up feeling very low and indeed was. 40 and 26! My vision was greatly affected. Could barely see until I got my blood sugar back up.

What could cause these irregular lows? How can I prevent them?

Thanks,
Cris Dopher

I have not posted in your thread, since I know nothing about your condition. However, to prevent the night time lows you could try a before bed snack of about 15 carbs. Remember to test often and good luck with your control & management.
