Normally not, atleast in moderation. However, over doing the sugar alcohol can result in other negative results - with diarrhea being just one. That being said, usually sugar levels will go up when the body is out of whack.

Yeah Dano is right. It shouldn't really affect the readings that much but it definitely can result in gastrointestinal problems if you consume too much of it.
