Problem logging food
Hi, In my iphone app I'm trying to log in food. It takes the name of the food, but won't take the grams, which I assume would be how many grams of carbohydrate. This is a new app for me, so I must be doing something wrong and the manual is not coming up for me. Please tell me how to log in food correctly. Thanks

Try something simple first: Under Food; Add Food; Press + in the top right hand corner; Type in a name {I use Carb. (grams)} and save the food. Then under Pick Food(s) you should be able to pick the food (when done successfully you will see a check mark on the right hand side), then press Add Log at the top left, this takes you back to Add Log menu where you should be able to input the grams. I hope it helps!

So once you have input the food and the amount, where can you see it later? I don't see food listed anywhere on the website. I'm trying to keep track of what I ate as well as the number. I don't see the food entry anywhere on the site. Just the number. How can I see the the food description?

You should be able to see the food in my logs the same as your blood glucose readings. It will be a seperate line item, the same as meds, etc.

I don't see that at all Danny.
Under My Logs then View Logs I see: Type - Value - Name - Event - Date - Time - Notes - Actions I do not see a column for food. There are check boxes for: A1c - Glucose - Medicine - Food - Activity - Pressure - Weight All are checked but nothing is listed. When if I uncheck them, they have NO effect on the log. Nothing changes. Am I looking in the correct place? I am using Safari 5 on Mac OS X 10.6.4 |

Yes I have that. I see the F entries on your post. I don't have those. I guess I'm a bit confused as to how to add food entries on the iPhone. I get how to do the Glucose entry. Not the Food entry.

The food entries are a bit different from the blood glucose entries. Under Add Logs; Food; Add Food; Add Log; Create a food called Carbs. (grams), then pick that food each time you input your food. This method is very simple and lets you keep up with your food by logging carbs. However, to effectively use this method, you will need to learn to carb count.
