I am right there with you friend. My 6 year old was just diagnosed last week, and he has been so brave. He inspires me! I just have to keep praying and know that we are not long from a cure, or at least no more finger pricks! It still breaks my heart every time. But we will all learn and grow, and get through this together. I'll pray for strength and comfort for you, and you do the same for me. If not religious, happy thoughts are great too!

We have an 8 year old daughter that was just diagnosed, but there is some family history so we caught it very early. We are still coming to grips with this and don't even know for sure which type yet. It is tough but she is a trooper and handling it better than we are. She hates testing though. We are terrified if school starting again but I work in the system so that should make things easier. It is sad that people have to deal with this, especially so young, but we are glad there is such a strong support system
