My only problem with heat is sweat. I wear a bullet proof vest at work and sweat a lot under it. Sometimes, the adhesive fails and I loose that pod.

I just met with the omnipod reps and its a great pump, they let me try a functioning pump for free with a salt water solution. They showed me proper techniques and it doesn't hurt at all the people that say they hate it are usually users who don't take care to follow all techniques properly which may cause pain or discomfort, I am really skinny and the most common concern for people like me is that insertion will hurt but when I tried it out it just felt like someone had maybe lightly flicked me or there was a light thump on my jeans but overall it was smooth and easy to use, if you hear about problems with the adhesive it's usually due to failure to use an alcohol wipe on the entire area before use and letting it AIR DRY, sometimes adhesion problems are due to the skin type o people and it simple just wont stick because of their skin's take to the pod, the pod is getting much smaller and slimmer and any problems there were before have been fixed, the best part about the omnipod is that if you decide to go with them they will upgrade you for free if they come out with a new one where as with traditional pumps you usually still have the 4 year or however long insurance but you can't upgrade until that time period is up, omnipod also offers a pay plan kind of thing so you don't pay everything upfront, the new pod is set to come out in march of this year, 2013, and is actually cheaper too, this is what I am getting and I like it better than all the other pumps with tubing and other components, with a pod all you have is your insulin the pods and a pdm, if you have small children that like to tear at things this pump may not be for you other than that I am getting it and when I do I will keep posting updates on how it is doing with reviews

Exclamation pump not sticking

My son is on the Omni Pod. We had major issues with it coming off. Luckily, his uncle, in his 30's (diagnosed as a child) turned us on to Mastisol. It is by presciption (depending on your insurance) and keeps the pump adhered for a full three days. It has changed our life. GET SOME!

Default Omnipod adherence

I am on the omnipod too.. Initially i did have trouble with adherence. but i found a sustem that works. For me I use skin-tac before putting the pod on , this works fine on my arm .. i usually also add a sweat band that goes around my arm..
For other spots I used me-fix tape as well.. this has even worked out well at the beach and I have hardly any problems with the pod coming loose.
