Im type 2 and do not take meds just diet and exercise and found that the later I eat my last meal of the day the high my morning BG levels are. If I eat dinner around 5:00pm and nothing else my sugars in the morning are in the low 100's but if I eat around 7:30- 8:00pm (when the wife gets home from work) then its around 130 or 140 in the morning.

Alcohol before bed=bad juju. Messes with your liver, endocrine
system, and quality of sleep/restoration. Try protein powder in almond or plain soymilk
Works for me. I no longer wake up all antsy.
