I posted this in another section but maybe it was better suited here:
Posted by swatchdogg on Today, 06:08 AM > The reason I joined this app/community is because I know that while I've had a smooth ride w diabetes, I'm starting to creep into a more routine life. I have a stable job, live on my own (I'm 24) don't party or travel as much and am finally tied down to a location. My last endo was always rude and his office was depressing as it was always filled w old people who don't want to take care of themselves. Problem is, I've avoided going to find a new endo w new insurance...now that I'm back I really need to see a nutritionist and an endo for full tests as my numbers have started to spike on a regular basis. Anyway, I feel totally guilty about it and dont want to go to the endo without adequate info so I'm trying to get back on tracking my daily activities. Are there any others (young folks too) that get stressed out about not being on top of things? It's irrational but I don't want the dr to chastise me for falling behind, I just want to smooth out my lifestyle before it becomes a real problem. Should I go without the records? Or should I continue tracking and go in a month? Also, any young hipster (male, or gay diabetics) that wanna exchange notes...particularly stoners, interested in how that plays a role in my diabetes. I'm also on a lot of things for anxiety/moods so I'm open to talking about that an side effects as well |

Brian;
Welcome to the Forum! ![]() I'm glad that you are settled down in one place and taking your diabetes by the horns. Many have felt as you currently do, but we have to press on. Most of the time endo's would like to see 3 months of data numbers, yes they are going to have lab work done and the A1c is the tell all for that. That said, I would suggest searching for a good endo and take him/her the info that you have collected in the mean time. Good luck with your control and management.
