What A Difference The Pump Can Make
I have had type 1 diabetes for 40 years. For the first 29 years I took mulitple injections each day. No matter what I tried, I could not get my A1C below 8.9. Then 13 years ago I began using an insulin pump. In less than 90 days my A1C went from 8.9 to 6.0. Wow! What an incredible difference being on the pump has made.
I have also found it to be very worthwhile to test my blood sugar at least 6 to 8 times each day. The pump enables me to correct any out of range bloodsugars quickly, and to keep my bloodsugar in range as much as possible. |
