I was diagnosed a few days ago with an A1C of 6.6. My doctor wanted to put me on meds but I got her to give me 3 months without meds trial. I wanted to see what difference a lifestyle change really had on my blood sugar readings. I had gestational when I was pregnant 2 years ago and I only had problems with my fasting levels. My 2 hour readings are under 120 but my fasting has been 105 and 127 the last 2 mornings. I have only been cutting down the carbs for 3 days. Will the fasting come down or does anyone else have suggestions to get under 100.

Welcome to the Forum!

Read the first three (3) threads in the Type 2 Section. Most times a thirty (30') minute walk after dinner or before bedtime will help lower the fasting value. Good luck with your control and management.
