Welcome to the Forum!

The blurred vision is pretty much one of the classic signs of long term high blood sugar values. When you get your blood sugar down to an average of 140 or less, on a day to day basis, you will most likely see much improved vision. However, people with diabetes need to have regular visits to the eye doctor and the results should be forwarded to your doctor/endo.

Good luck with your control and management.

It is absolutely normal with diabetes. I've had something similar since I was diagnosed.
It often comes with having a hypo.

Eye floaters? I've been type 1 for almost a year and have eye floaters that are really irritating. Have been told that diabetics are more susceptible to them and that they are normal. Is this true? Do they go away? I have good numbers and good control but it's been a couple months and they haunt gone away. Does anyone else have a similar experience? Thanks

I've been a T1 since last December and I got blurry vision as dano explained when I got over my diagnose and started insulin treatment and lowered my high blood sugar levels.

I still can get somewhat blurred vision if I'm sensing a small hypo and get low round 2.3-2.6 mmol/L. As I get an eye exam every year, a change in the eye would be treated with simple laser surgery so I don't worry too much.

Eye floaters has been a part of my life since the teens, they haven’t gone worse with my diabetes. I think many have them but when they get diabetes or some other ting that's a life changer; they tend to discover so much more they didn't react on earlier.
